THE INCEPTION OF THE ASHRAMA

Based on the lofty ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sharada Devi and Swami Vivekananda, the Ashrama was founded on 14th June 2005 to respect and propagate all religious teachings with the background of Indian Philosophy and Spiritualism. The Ashrama was formally inaugurated by one the the senior monks of the Ramakrishna Order, Rev.Swami Jagadatmanandaji Maharaj, President, Ramakrishna Sharadashram,. Ponnampet, Kodagu District.

Sri H.L.Vasudev and Smt.Manjula Vasudev, (daughter and son-in-law of Dr.Chikkaswamy, C.S.Hospital, Shivamogga) a deeply devoted noble couple from Mysore, have donated 2 acres land at Kallaganguru, near Doctors' colony, 4 kms. from Vinobha nagar, Shivamogga, for the construction of the Ashrama complex.

The main objective of the Ashrama is to spread ennobling spiritual and cultural values in order to promote a healthy, peaceful and secular society. The Ashrama is particularly aiming at and engaged in instilling noble thoughts and holy feelings among the people without any discrimination of caste, creed, status or language.
